NAGA CITY — The City Government of Naga will be celebrating its 72nd Charter Anniversary on June 18, with this, Mayor Nelson Legacion said in a Facebook post on his page that the city’s charter anniversary shall be celebrated in a simple and limited way.
June 18 is a special non-working holiday in Naga City, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the accustomed celebrations were affected.
Mayor Legacion said that there will be no parades, but instead a simple celebration of the opening of the face-lifted Plaza Rizal along with limited participants and a shortened program featuring brief presentations from Nagueño musicians every sunset at the said plaza as part of the city’s TUPAD program for cultural workers.
The annual Mayoral Awards was also deferred to later this year.
