PH COVID-19 cases breach 30,000 mark, Bicol records 88th case

NAGA CITY — In the Department of Health’s latest report on Sunday, COVID-19 cases in the country breach the 30,000 mark with 30,052 total recorded cases.

653 total new cases have been reported on Sunday, 415 of them fresh cases, 238 late cases, mostly from the National Capital Region and Region 7.

243 recoveries and 19 deaths have been reported on the same day, bringing the total recoveries to 7,893 and 1,169 deaths.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health Center for Health Development in Bicol (DOH CHD-Bicol) reports its 88th case.

He is a 31 year-old resident of Tiwi, Albay, who arrived from Makati on June 11, 2020. He is asymptomatic and currently quarantined at an LGU facility in Tiwi.

He is the first confirmed case in the said municipality.

Total case in the Bicol Region is now at 88, majority of the cases in the province of Albay. Total active cases as of June 21, 2020 in the region is at 13. 70 have so far recovered with 5 total recorded deaths.
