Naga City records 7th case after more than half a month without new cases

NAGA CITY — After more than half a month without any new COVID-19 cases, Naga City records its 7th case, a 32 year-old female nurse residing in Barangay San Francisco of this city. She has no travel history but a close contact of Patient Bicol #60, the 41 year-old health worker from Tigaon, Camarines Sur.

Naga’s 7th case, Bicol’s Patient #67, is asymptomatic, and was last seen on May 12, 2020 at the Camarines Sur Provincial Health Office in Pili, Camarines Sur. She is currently admitted at the quarantine facility controlled by the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur.

Naga City Mayor Nelson Legacion has also issued a localized lockdown of Zone 2 of Barangay San Francisco immediately after confirming the city’s latest case. The immediate family members of the patient have been also been brought to city quarantine facilities.

Total number of COVID-19 infected health workers in the Bicol Region is now at 23, according to DOH Center for Health Development Region V.
