Bicol COVID-19 cases still rising

LEGAZPI CITY — Bicol Region’s COVID-19 cases continue to rise, but a bit more slowly than in March and April.

This afternoon, the Department of Health’s Center for Health Development in Bicol reports 2 new Coronavirus cases. This brings the total cases in the region to 84.

Bicol’s 83rd case is a 39 year-old female from San Andres, Catanduanes. She had arrived from the Middle East last April 25, 2020 in Manila. She is asymptomatic and is currently quarantined at a government facility in Catanduanes.

Bicols 84th case is a 50 year-old male from Legazpi City in Albay. He had arrived from Manila last June 9, 2020 and is asymptomatic. He is currently quarantined at a government facility in Legazpi City.

Bicol Region has so far 84 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus, 5 persons have already died due to the disease. 69 have so far recovered from COVID-19.

Albay has the most cases with 63 so far confirmed cases, 3 deaths and 53 recoveries.

Camarines Sur with 13 total cases, 1 death and 11 recoveries.

Masbate remains COVID-19 free since the start of the pandemic.
