NAGA CITY — After more than a month without new cases in the city, Mayor Nelson Legacion announced that there were 2 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Naga City on June 25, 2020.
Naga City’s 8th & 9th case is a 59 year-old mother and 30 year-old daughter who arrived from Naic, Cavite last June 14 via a private pickup truck. They were tested negative on the rapid tests upon arrival but were advised to undergo home quarantine.
Last June 16, the mother experienced symptoms and consulted a private doctor last June 22. Both of them underwent rapid testing last June 24 and tested positive.
They were swabbed on the morning of June 25 and tested positive for SARS-nCOV-2.
Both of them have been transferred to the Bicol Medical Center from a city-controlled quarantine facility for further treatment, and their family and close contacts are now being monitored and transferred to a city-controlled quarantine facility.
Disinfection and lockdown of the portion of the Spillway at Concepcion Pequeña have already been implemented.
These are the only new cases reported in the Bicol Region. Total cases in the region now at 92.
2 new recoveries have also been reported, bringing the total recoveries in the region to 74.
